I'm a Clinical Family Therapist, Registered Clinical Counsellor, and Certified Gottman Relationship Counsellor in private practice in Mount Isa. I holds a Masters Degree in Health Studies – Primary Health Care and Community Health from the University of Queensland, and post-graduate qualifications in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Family Therapy from James Cook University. I am affiliated with several professional organizations including the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT), Psychotherapist and Counsellor Federation of Australia (PACFA), and Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). I provide counselling for individuals, families, and couples, specializing in complex issues such as affairs, trauma, and addictions. I have over 25 years of experience providing services to families in Mount Isa, including running programs such as Circle of Life, reproductive counselling, post-natal support groups, and various educational and life skills programs. I am trained in clinical nutrition, Sand play Therapy, Circle of Security Program, Bringing Baby Home Program, and other therapeutic approaches. I have worked extensively with the Mount Isa community, including roles as a Gambling Help Counsellor, Palliative Care Team member, and with Relationships Australia supporting victims of crime. I also holds qualifications in Swedish and Remedial Massage and Bowen Technique, which I integrate into my work, particularly for clients who have experienced trauma.
